ת"ח על תשורה זו, ובפרט בימים אלו אשר כדברי חז"ל על מה אבדה הארץ על עזבם את תורתי, שלא ברכו בתורה תחלה (ב"מ פה, א) וידוע פירוש הב"ח בזה (לטור או"ח סי' מ"ז) דברים נפלאים הכי עמוקים, ונקודתם, על הכרח לימוד פנימיות התורה, אשר עי"ז באים לדרך חיים תוכחת מוסר (כמבואר בארוכה בקונטרס עץ החיים לכ"ק אדמו"ר מוהרש"ב, אביו של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר - זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע) לימוד חכמה (חכמתו ורצונו של הקב"ה היא תורתנו הק') ומוסר (פנימיותה כנ"ל).
והרי ענין ימים אלו, זכרון החורבן, לעורר לבטל סיבת החורבן ולקרב הגאולה והבנין, גאולה האמיתית והשלימה על ידי משיח צדקנו יבוא ויגאלנו בעגלא דידן.
והרי גם הגאולה תלוי' בלימוד פנימיות התורה, וכמבואר בכ"מ בארוכה (הובאו בקונטרס עץ החיים הנ"ל) מיוסד על הקדמת הרח"ו לשער ההקדמות ע"פ מ"ש בכ"מ בזהר ובתקוני זהר.
ולפלא קצת שלא הזכיר זה (ככל הדרוש) בשער הגאולה בספר אהל ישרים הנ"ל.
בכבוד ובברכה ולבשו"ט מביאת מבשר טוב שאז יהפכו ימים אלו לששון ולשמחה ולמועדים טובים.

It is with pleasure that I acknowledge receipt of the books Chochmah U'Musar and Ohel Yesharim. Thank you for this gift, especially in these days, as our Sages said: "Why was the land lost? Because they abandoned My Torah," meaning they did not bless over the Torah first (Bava Metzia 85a). The explanation of the Bach on this (to Tur Orach Chaim section 47) is well known—wondrous and profoundly deep words. The main point is the necessity to study the inner dimension of Torah, which leads to a path of life and moral rebuke (as explained at length in Kuntres Etz HaChayim by my revered ancestor, the Rebbe Rashab, father of my revered father-in-law, may his merit protect us). The study of wisdom (the wisdom and will of the Holy One Blessed be He is our holy Torah) and mussar (its inner dimension as above).
The theme of these days—the remembrance of destruction—is to awaken us to nullify the cause of destruction and bring closer redemption and rebuilding: the true and complete redemption through our righteous Mashiach who will come and redeem us speedily in our days. Redemption also depends on studying the inner dimension of Torah, as explained at length in many places (brought in Kuntres Etz HaChayim mentioned above), based on the introduction of Rav Chaim Vital to Shaar HaHakdamot according to what is written in many places in Zohar and Tikunei Zohar.
It is somewhat surprising that this (as required) was not mentioned in Shaar HaGeulah in Ohel Yesharim mentioned above.

Summary
