Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter from the 20th of Kislev, in which you write about something you saw in a certain yeshiva—a conduct which in your opinion is not desirable and not appropriate. It is understood that in such matters one should approach the yeshiva administration and clarify with them; and if regarding an individual our holy Torah rules to judge favorably, how much more so regarding a yeshiva where the Torah of G‑d is studied.

b) To your question about what is the approach of Chassidus and its ways: these matters have already been explained in many places, but most importantly—in our generation the study of this Torah is essential; moreover, neglecting this study, G‑d forbid, delays the redemption. This is as both Rabbeinu HaZaken and the Gra state on this matter together, based on the saying of Moshe Rabbeinu Ra'aya Meheimna. These things are written in Sefer HaZohar and Tikunei Zohar—this should suffice.

c) Regarding being careful about one's conduct—consult a rabbinic halachic authority who will instruct you regarding what is forbidden and permitted; and within what is permitted—even what is repulsive (though permitted) [which in truth is also forbidden by Torah law, as brought explicitly by the Ramban on Parshas Kedoshim: there can be a "naval birshus haTorah" (a degenerate within the bounds of Torah), especially according to those who count mitzvos that "sanctify yourself with what is permitted to you" is a biblical commandment].

In general: distance yourself from seeking out difficulties, refutations, and questions. Anyone who walks upright on the straight path—the path of Torah—and not for the sake of argumentation (G‑d forbid), succeeds in Torah study, mitzvah observance, and his affairs overall. May it be G‑d's will that you share good news regarding all of the above.

With blessing.
