Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 19th of Kislev, in which you write about your acquaintance whose intention is for a shidduch, mentioning both the positive aspects and those to the contrary, including what seems like opposition from the Avrech's family—but you do not explain why they oppose or their reasons.
To your question about my opinion on the reasons you mention: regarding the family closeness between them, it is clearly seen—especially in recent generations—that there is no reason for concern here when both parties are healthy.
b) Regarding your writing that at their current age they should wait about a year or more before marrying: it is clear and simple that this does not fit my outlook, as it is not the perspective of our Torah of life in general—especially among Sephardic Jews (to whose community both belong). Furthermore—and this is most important—it is not at all desirable to become acquainted and friendly with intent to marry while simultaneously deciding that one must wait many months or even longer until actual marriage. As stated, this is not desirable at all. Young men and women who are G‑d-fearing should only become acquainted and develop friendship once it has already been decided that the time has come for actual marriage. It is clear that the directives of our Torah of life are not only for good in the World to Come after one hundred and twenty years but are also for the benefit of every Jew in this world—to live a happy life physically and spiritually.
c) Regarding your question about how to bring the matter closer to the Avrech—it seems from your letter that he surely understands your serious approach to this matter. Since he continues meeting, this is certainly a sign that he too takes it seriously, even if perhaps not as much as you do. These details should be clarified by mutual friends of both parties—such as those you mention in your letter.
Based on the style of your letter, it is surely unnecessary to elaborate on the necessity of living according to the directives of our Torah of life; I will just add: when one finds oneself confused and needs additional blessing from Hashem Who gives the Torah and commands its mitzvos, one should increase in matters of Judaism—even in daily life. In matters of goodness and holiness, no matter how good things already are, there is always room to add since they are connected with Hakadosh Baruch Hu Who is infinite.
Blessings for good news.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that health removes concern over close family ties in shidduchim; delaying marriage unnecessarily is discouraged; relationships should move forward only when ready for marriage; and increasing in matters of Judaism brings blessing during times of uncertainty.
