נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מד' מרחשון, בו מזכיר ע"ד מלאת לו שבעים וחמש שנים לאריכות ימים ושנים טובות.
ויהי רצון אשר מתוך שמחה וטוב לבב ימשיך בפעולותיו להחזקת היהדות והפצתה, ובזה גם בהסיוע של להפצת מעינות החסידות, בהדרכים דסיוע למוסדותיהם בארצנו הקדושה ת"ו גם בפאריז ובאופן דמוסיף והולך מוסיף ואור.
וע"פ מנהג קדמונים, ששמענוהו מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ע"ד אמירת הקאפיטל תהלים המתאים למספר שנותיו של אדם (ז.א. שמעונת הבר מצוה מתחילים לאמר המזמור י"ד שבתהלים ובכל שנה שלאחרי זה המזמור שלאחר זה).
הנה יהי רצון שבימיו ובימינו יקוים היעוד שבמזמור שהתחיל (יתחיל) לאומרו, נודע ביהודה אלקים בישראל גדול שמו, בגאולה האמיתית והשלימה על ידי משיח צדקנו, ככתוב לאחרי זה, ויהי בשלם סכו ומעונתו בציון.
בכבוד ובברכה לבשו"ט בכל הנ"ל ובענינים הפרטים והכללים גם יחד.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive your letter from the 4th of Marcheshvan, in which you mention your reaching seventy-five years—may you be granted long and good years.
May it be G‑d's will that with joy and gladness of heart you continue your activities to strengthen and spread Judaism, including also assisting in the dissemination of the wellsprings of Chassidus by supporting their institutions in our holy land, may it be rebuilt and established, as well as in Paris—and all this in a manner of ever-increasing growth and light.
According to the custom of our predecessors—which we heard from my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe—regarding reciting the chapter of Tehillim corresponding to one's age (that is: from Bar Mitzvah onward one begins saying chapter fourteen of Tehillim, and each subsequent year the next chapter), may it be G‑d's will that in your days and ours the prophecy found in the chapter you have begun (or will begin) to recite—Noda b'Yehuda Elokim b'Yisrael gadol shemo (G‑d is known in Judah; His name is great in Israel)—be fulfilled with the true and complete redemption through Moshiach Tzidkeinu, as it continues: Vayehi v'Shalem Suko u'Me'onato b'Tzion (His tabernacle is in Shalem; His dwelling place also is in Zion).
With honor and blessing for good news in all the above matters—both personal and communal alike.
