Shalom u'Vrachah! [13 Tishrei 5721]

In response to your letter from the eve of Yom Kippur: At an auspicious time, you will again be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory. The instructions and words of our Rebbeim are everlasting: "Tracht gut vet zain gut" (Think good and it will be good). You can share good news as you wrote above. And regarding the mitzvah to be especially careful with—to spread the Torah of Hashem wherever your influence reaches—this requires a healthy and whole body, which is one of the ways of Hashem.

I await good news from you and send blessings for a joyous holiday. By the way, your second letter was received—please share good news as above. And our Sages ruled that whoever is treated well should not despair (Bava Basra 12b).

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that positive thinking leads to positive outcomes, spreading Torah is a vital mitzvah requiring good health, and one should always strive to share good news and maintain hope.
