Agudas HaShochtim Tel Aviv-Yafo. May Hashem be upon them for life.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive your regards through the chaver Haraha"ch iy"a nu"n ba'al middos u'ba'al peulos Haram"m Ras'kin together with your letter from Erev Shabbos Kodesh Atem Nitzavim Hayom Kulchem.
And at an auspicious time I will mention you at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal lehe nbagam zya, in accordance with the content of your letter.
May it be G‑d's will that as we find ourselves in days when our Rebbeim of blessed memory have taught that the power of the individual is like that of the community during the rest of the year (Rosh Hashanah 18a), how much more so is the power of the community and the group during these auspicious days. Behold, El Kabir Lo Yimas (the Mighty G‑d does not reject) (Berachos 8a; see Chiddushei Aggados there), and may He accept your prayers and requests among all the prayers of Israel for a good inscription and sealing for a good and sweet year both materially and spiritually together.
This also applies to your holy work according to our Sages' teaching: "Ein veshachat ela umashach—there is no 'and he slaughtered' except 'and he drew,' two meanings are implied" (Chullin 30b end; see Tosafos there). Also in spiritual work—to draw forth the animal (within man) until it becomes fit to be blood and flesh of man (as expressed by Rabbeinu HaZaken in Sefer HaTanya), "Atem Keru'im Adam" (you are called man) because you resemble the Supreme One—to serve Him with all your heart with both inclinations: man and animal, Divine soul and animal soul together.
With honor and blessings for a sealing and final sealing for good.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that unity in prayer and spiritual effort elevates both individuals and communities. Drawing on chassidic insights, he urges transforming one's inner "animal" nature into holiness, especially during auspicious times, blessing all for a good year materially and spiritually.
