Shalom u'Vrachah!
According to the well-known instructions of our Sages regarding one who has caused harm to another, and especially as explained in Iggeres HaKodesh section 25, even those who have been wronged must accept upon themselves extra care and enhancement in fulfilling the mitzvos of G‑d. Certainly, they must uproot and remove any trace of resentment from their hearts, G‑d forbid. As it is written in this week's Torah portion, when the tribes of Israel are united, they bring together the leaders of the nation and cause "Va'yehi B'Yeshurun Melech" (and there was a king in Yeshurun), as explained in Likkutei Torah about the great virtue when the Jewish people are in the state of Yeshurun.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that true forgiveness means not only refraining from retaliation but also removing all resentment from one's heart. Through unity and harmony among Jews, we merit great spiritual blessings.
