במענה למכתבו מז"ך סיון, בו כותב אשר לא נתמלאה תקותו למצוא האוירה בה הורגל במדינתו לפנים ואיך שפעל זה אצלו אכזבה וכו'. - ותקותי חזקה אשר לא יניח להיצר לפתות אותו בטענה האמורה להעדר ח"ו של רגש האהבה במדה הדרושה, ובפרט שהביאור להנ"ל הוא אשר כשנמצאים במצב של סכנה ח"ו מכריח המצב אשר הרגש האמור יהי' תמיד בגלוי ובפועל, כיון שדרוש לנצלו על כל צעד ושעל, כי באם לאו נוגע ביותר תוצאותיו עד לקצה, משא"כ במצב נוח הרבה יותר, שאפילו כשהרגש האמור מתגלה מתבטא זה בענינים שאינם חיונים אזי ענינים דכחות הנפש אחרים בעמדם בפעילות יותר מכסים על הרגש האמור, והבחינה בזה שכן הוא במקרים יוצאים מן הכלל, וכמו בענין חתונה או התועדות פומבית כשבאים אנשים גם מחוגים אחרים, אזי מתבטא הקירוב המיוחד בין אנשי חוג זה ביתר שאת וביתר עז.
במ"ש אודות הלימוד בכתה ז' ח' בבית ספר הרשת, - אינו כותב האם צריך הוא לעבור בחינות וכיו"ב, או שאין העכוב אלא מפני אי התאמת הזמן, שמתחיל הלימוד באלול ואני יעצתיו ללמוד בישיבה עד ר"ה ובאם רק זה העכוב, אזי יש למצוא עצה, כיון שלימוד בביה"ס מניח די זמן פנוי ללימודים לפ"ע מתאימים לתכנית הלימוד בישיבה והרי בתי ספר הרשת במדה חשובה הם המשך והכנה לישיבה.
במ"ש אודות מצב הפרנסה של אביו שי' תקותי חזקה שבעוד זמן קצר יוטב המצב וילך הלוך וטוב וע"פ מה שנאמר מעט מעט וגו' ובטח יודע אביו וגם נוהג כן להפריש לצדקה פרוטות אחדות קודם תפלת הבקר בימות החול.

In response to your letter from the 27th of Sivan, where you write that your hope to find the atmosphere you were accustomed to in your previous country was not fulfilled and how this caused you disappointment, etc. – I strongly hope that you will not allow the yetzer to entice you with the aforementioned claim to a lack, G‑d forbid, of the necessary feeling of love. Especially since the explanation is that when one is in a situation of danger, G‑d forbid, the situation compels that this feeling is always revealed and active because it is needed at every step; otherwise its consequences are very significant. This is not so in a much more comfortable situation: even when this feeling is revealed and expressed in non-essential matters, then other faculties of the soul being more active can cover over this feeling. The proof for this is in exceptional cases—such as at a wedding or a public gathering when people from other circles also attend—then the special closeness between members of this group is expressed with greater strength and intensity.
Regarding what you wrote about studying in grades 7 or 8 at the Reshet school—you do not write whether you need to take exams or similar matters or if the delay is only due to scheduling issues since classes begin in Elul. I advised you to study in yeshivah until Rosh Hashanah; if this is the only obstacle, then a solution should be found since studying at the school leaves enough free time for studies appropriate for yeshivah curriculum. The Reshet schools are to an important degree a continuation and preparation for yeshivah.
Regarding what you wrote about your father's livelihood situation—I strongly hope that very soon things will improve steadily as it says: 'little by little,' etc. Surely your father knows and also practices giving a few coins to charity before morning prayers on weekdays.

P.S. I hope you participate in activities spreading the wellsprings outward within Eshet HaTorah V’Chinuch (Et”h) and Tzeirei Agudas Chabad (Tzeirei Aguch), especially considering our master the Alter Rebbe’s statement (printed at the beginning of Torah Or) that through acts of charity one’s mind and heart become refined a thousand times over.
