לאחרי הפסק הכי ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מיום הרביעי, ובשאלתו בהנוגע להנסיעה לאה"ק ת"ו למשך איזה חדשים.
צע"ג בזה, באם אפילו יש ברשותו המעות הנצרכות להוצאות הנסיעה וכו' יש להשתמש בהם לעניני צדקה, ולא לנסיעה שאינו מובן התועלת בדבר.
נוסף על הענין שלאחרי שהות שלשים יום באה"ק ת"ו ישנה שקו"ט בהנוגע ליציאה משם, ומה להם להסתבך בשקו"ט וכו' אפילו באם תהי' המסקנא, שאפשר לעשות בלי פקפוק, ואף שרבים עושים כהנ"ל, אין זה מבטל את הספיקות והשקו"ט שבדבר.
מגוף תוכן מכתבו נראה שהטפול דזוגתו תחי' הוא עדיין באמצע, ועי"ז עוד מתרבה התימה בהקס"ד האמור, ועוד יותר מ"ש שהיא עצובה וקשת רוח, שכמדומה כבר כתבתי להם, שעל איש הישראלי לעבוד את השי"ת בשמחה וטוב לבב, ועבודת השי"ת ה"ה בכל דרכיך דעהו.
כן כמדומה לי כבר עוררתיו ע"ד ההכרח לקבוע לימוד בתורת החסידות ובפרט בנדון דידי' שכדברי רבנו הזקן באגה"ק שלו סגולה הוא להולדת בנים (נדפס בסידור מאה שערים ד"ה סגולה להולדת בנים).

After the longest pause, your letter from Wednesday was received, in which you ask about traveling to Eretz HaKodesh for several months.
This is questionable: Even if you have the necessary funds for travel expenses and so on, it would be better to use them for matters of charity rather than for a trip whose benefit is unclear. Additionally, after staying thirty days in Eretz HaKodesh there is a halachic debate regarding leaving from there—why get involved in such debates? Even if the conclusion is that it can be done without hesitation, and even though many act as mentioned above, this does not remove the doubts and debates on the matter.
From the content of your letter it appears that your wife's treatment is still ongoing; this further increases the wonder at your proposed plan. Moreover, you write that she is sad and dispirited. I believe I have already written to you that a Jewish person must serve Hashem with joy and gladness of heart; serving Hashem applies in all your ways—bechol derachecha da'eihu ("In all your ways know Him").
I also believe I have already pointed out to you the necessity of establishing regular study in Chassidus—especially in her case—as our master the Alter Rebbe writes in his Iggeres HaKodesh: it is a segulah for having children (printed in Siddur Meah Shearim under "Segulah for Having Children").
