מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מעש"ק, ות"ח ת"ח על התשורה הסיפור ע"ד אביו של רבנו הזקן בעל התניא - פוסק בנסתר דתורה - והשו"ע - פוסק בנגלה דתורה -, מהנהגותיו בקדש באורח פלא וכו' וכמבואר אפס קצהו גם בזכרונות לכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיא ישראל, אף כי מהתקופה קודם שהתחיל בענין הגלות, ובכ"א הודיעונו חז"ל מילתא אלבישייהו יקירא, ובפרט בהנוגע לצדיקים הנסתרים צדיק יסוד עולם.
ויהי רצון אשר זכותו יגן על כאו"א מאתנו בתכ"י בכל המצטרך בגשמיות וברוחניות ומתוך הרחבת הדעת איש את רעהו יבשרו ויתבשרו אך טוב בטוב הנראה והנגלה.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from Erev Shabbat Kodesh, and thank you very much for the gift—the story about the father of our master, the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya—who was a posek in the hidden aspects of Torah—and Shulchan Aruch—a posek in the revealed aspects of Torah—his wondrously holy conduct, etc., as is explained to some extent also in the memoirs of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, leader of Israel, even though it is from a period before he began dealing with exile. Nevertheless, our Sages have informed us: 'Milta albishiyhu yakira' (they clothed a precious matter), especially regarding hidden tzaddikim, a tzaddik who is the foundation of the world.
May it be G‑d's will that his merit protect each one of us immediately in all that is needed both materially and spiritually, and that with expanded consciousness everyone will share and hear only good news—good that is visible and revealed.
With honor and blessings for a good month—from Adar I to Adar II—and from there linking redemption to redemption to the month of Nissan; in Nissan we were redeemed and in Nissan we are destined to be redeemed.
