Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 17th of Shevat, in which you write about your desire to pray from now on according to the Nusach of the Arizal, which is the Nusach of our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe accepted among Chabad Chassidim.
This is very good and proper, especially according to chassidic stories that the Alter Rebbe selected this nusach from sixty siddurim. However, since it is brought in certain sources that one may switch from Nusach Ashkenaz to Sefard and from Sefard to Nusach Ari but not vice versa, you must decide that once you begin with Nusach Ari, it will be permanent.
Regarding your question: a Chabad chassid who serves as chazan in a synagogue where Veshamru is customarily recited—should he also say it? It seems to me that he should not say it, since he has accepted upon himself the halachic ruling that there is concern for an interruption here, as ruled by our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe. Especially regarding those praying with a minyan, it is known from actual practice that it is not said even if others do (see Orach Chaim siman 236 in the ruling of tzt"z). Even if one passes before the ark as chazan, he should not say it.
At an auspicious time all those you write about will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal nishmaso Eden—each one for what they need.
And since you are bringing this request, it is understood and obvious that you should add in matters of Torah and mitzvos; this will increase Hashem's blessings in fulfilling all your heart's wishes as mentioned above.
Blessings for good news,
In the name of my father-in-law the Rebbe shlita,
Mazkir
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that adopting Nusach Ari is commendable but should be a lasting commitment. A Chabad chazan should not recite Veshamru even if others do so. Increasing Torah and mitzvos brings added blessings.
