Shalom u'Vrachah!

I want to thank you for sending me the book Toldos RMA Kremer, which describes your father of blessed memory, in both Yiddish and English. Certainly, this book is found among all the family members, especially the younger ones, as explained in several places and as is also understood logically: that the purpose of describing the homes of previous generations—and in general, memories of our ancestors—is not merely to tell a beautiful story about a fine person. Rather, the intention is that this should awaken and arouse in the reader—especially when it is read by a family member—a strong desire to follow in the well-trodden path of the one being remembered, and generally to conduct oneself in this way. In doing so, one brings nachas ruach (pleasure) to his soul. This is expected from everyone; how much more so is it expected from family members.

And seeing how your children (yours and your brothers') participate in all those matters that were so dear to the one being remembered—your father of blessed memory—this serves as an iron bridge upon which your children and your brothers' children can also walk. According to the saying "the deed is what counts," it is hoped that the grandchildren of the one being remembered will go in his ways—to support all those matters and institutions that were so dear to him—and generally be a living example in whom his image will be reflected.

It is well known what our Sages say: when one truly wants something, he accomplishes it.
