אין דעם ליכטיגען טאג פון י"ט כסלו, דער טאג פון באפרייאונג פון אלטען רבי'ן, בעל התניא והשלחן ערוך, וואס האט ליכטיג געמאכט די אויגען פון כללות ישראל מיט דער דאפלטער ליכטיגקייט, שני-אור, אור פון נגלה דתורה און אור פון פנימיות התורה.
ווענד איך זיך מיט מיין רוף צו אלע וועלכע האלטען טייער תורה און מצוות, אין צוזאמענהאנג מיט דער יעהרלעכער חגיגה פון דער צענטראלער ישיבה "תומכי-תמימים" ליובאוויטש, וואס דארף פארקומען בע"ה יום א', ב' שבט הבע"ל.
דער ענין פון י"ט כסלו, וואס האט געבראכט די באפרייאונג פון דעם אלטען רבי'ן און די פארגרעסערטע אויפבליאונג פון זיין שיטה, וועלכע שטיצט זיך אויף דעם כלל גדול, אז אהבת ה' אהבת התורה און אהבת ישראל איז כולי חד - איינס, דערמאנט, מאנט און דערמוטיגט יעדען איינעם פון אונז אין אונזערע פליכטען צו זיך און צום כלל ישראל, פליכטען וועלכע מוזען זיך אויסדריקען אין מעשה בפועל און אין אן אלץ שטייגענדער מאס.
אין די ליובאוויטשער ישיבות און זייער מרכז - די צענטראלע ליובאוויטשער ישיבה "תומכי-תמימים" אין ברוקלין, וואס כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר האט דא איבערגעפלאנצט אנקומענדיק אין אמעריקא מיט נייענצען יאהר צוריק, ווערען אויפגעשטעלט דורות וועלכע זיינען דורכגעדרונגען מיט אהבת ה' אהבת התורה און אהבת ישראל ביז צו מסירות נפש.
עס איז א חוב קדוש אויף אלע אידען חובבי תורה ומצוה, צו שטיצען די ליובאוויטשער ישיבות און ספעציעל איצט, אין אנבליק פון דער יערלעכער חגיגה, צו באטייליגען זיך און העלפען פארזיכערען דעם דערפאלג פון דער יעהרלעכער אונטערנעמונג, וואס האט אזא וויכטיגע באדייטונג פאר דער שטארקונג און ווייטערער אנטוויקלונג פון דער צענטראלער ישיבה "תומכי-תמימים" ליובאוויטש אין ברוקלין.
דער זכות פון בעל-השמחה פון היינטיגען טאג און דער זכות פון רבותינו נשיאינו, זיינע הייליגע נאכפאלגער - זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, וועט זיכער ביישטיין יעדען איינעם פון די שטיצער שיחיו אין וואס זיי נויטיגען זיך, עס זאל זיין בא זיי: פדה בשלום - אויסגעלייזט פון דער נויט דורך דעם זכות פון דער צדקה, וואס בריינגט שלום אין וועלט.
און יעדע גוטע פעולה אין דעם אין אן אופן פון מוסיף והולך, וועט אראפבריינגען ברכות השי"ת אויך אין אן אלץ שטייגענדער מאס.

To our brothers Bnei Yisrael who love and cherish Torah and mitzvah — may Hashem be upon them and grant them life.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
On this luminous day of Yud Tes Kislev, the day of liberation of the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch, who illuminated the eyes of all Israel with a double light — both the revealed aspect of Torah and its inner dimension — I turn with my call to all who hold dear Torah and mitzvos in connection with the annual celebration of the central Yeshiva "Tomchei Temimim" Lubavitch, which is to take place with G‑d's help on Sunday, 2 Shevat coming up.
The theme of Yud Tes Kislev — which brought about the liberation of the Alter Rebbe and an increased flourishing of his approach based on the great principle that love for Hashem, love for Torah, and love for Israel are all one — reminds us all and encourages each one in our obligations to ourselves and to Klal Yisrael. These obligations must be expressed in actual deed and in ever-increasing measure.
In the Lubavitcher yeshivos and especially their center — the central Lubavitcher yeshiva "Tomchei Temimim" in Brooklyn, which my revered father-in-law transplanted here upon arriving in America nineteen years ago — generations have been raised permeated with love for Hashem, love for Torah, and love for Israel up to self-sacrifice.
It is a sacred duty upon all Jews who cherish Torah and mitzvah to support the Lubavitcher yeshivos — especially now in view of the annual celebration — to participate and help ensure the success of this yearly undertaking which is so vital for strengthening and further developing the central yeshiva "Tomchei Temimim" Lubavitch in Brooklyn.
The merit of today's baal simchah (the celebrant) as well as that of our Rebbeim Nesi'einu — his holy successors zatzal nishmasam Eden zichronam tzaddikim livrachah v'zecher tzaddik l'vrachah — will surely stand by each supporter in whatever they need; it should be for them: Padeh b'Shalom (redeemed in peace) — delivered from distress through the merit of tzedakah which brings peace into the world. And every good action in this matter done in an ever-increasing way will bring down Hashem's blessings also in ever-increasing measure.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that supporting Torah institutions like Tomchei Temimim is a sacred obligation rooted in Ahavas Hashem, Ahavas HaTorah, and Ahavas Yisrael being one. Practical participation brings blessings both spiritually and materially.
