לאחרי הפסק ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מר"ח כסלו, בו מבשר טוב ע"ד שאישרו לו דירה טובה.
ויהי רצון שיהי' בשעה טובה ומוצלחת ותרחיב דעתו כמרז"ל הידוע (ברכות נז, ב) בהרחבה אמיתית. ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב מהרחבת הדעת ע"י שלשת הדברים הנ"ל כפי ביאור התקוני זהר (תקון ו' עיי"ש).
לפלא הכי גדול, שאין מזכיר דבר מפעולותיו בקדש בהפצת המעינות ולא עוד אלא שכותב בפירוש במכתבו, יותר אין מה לחדש, כאילו כבר נמצאים אנו באותה התקופה עלי' נאמר, שבת ומנוחה לחיי העולמים, והלואי שהגענו עכ"פ להדרגה דילכו מחיל אל חיל רק בעניני קדושה ולא כתקופתנו דחשך כפול ומכופל, שעדיין צריך להתאבק בהקו דסור מרע, וק"ל.
ואף שכבר נאמר אין כל חדש, שאין לחדש, הרי כבר שוברו אמרו בכ"מ ומהם בתניא ריש פרק מ' אשר דוקא תחת השמש הוא כנ"ל וגם בעניני קדושה אפילו דאורייתא והנלמד בעמל, אבל לימוד התורה ע"פ הוראת תורת החסידות שהוא למעלה מהשמש, בודאי שיש ויש לחדש ולא עוד אלא שזהו תפקידו האמיתי של כאו"א מבני ישראל, ואין להאריך בדבר הפשוט, ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בהאמור באופן דמוסיף והולך והרי מתקרבים הננו לימי הסגולה יום הבהיר יו"ד וי"ט כסלו, וימי החנוכה הבאים תיכף לאחרי זה שהלכה כב"ה דמוסיף והולך מיום ליום.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
After a long pause, your letter from Rosh Chodesh Kislev was received, in which you share good news about being approved for a good apartment. May it be in a good and successful hour, and may your mind be expanded as our Sages say (Berachos 57b) with true expansiveness.
May you also share good news about the expansion of your mind through the three aforementioned things as explained in Tikunei Zohar (Tikkun 6; see there).
It is most surprising that you do not mention anything about your activities in spreading the wellsprings of Chassidus. Not only that, but you explicitly write in your letter that there is nothing more to report—as if we are already in that era described as "Shabbat and rest for eternal life." If only we had at least reached the level of "they go from strength to strength" solely in matters of holiness! But in our time of doubled and redoubled darkness, one still needs to struggle with the path of "turn away from evil," and this is understood.
Even though it has already been said "there is nothing new," meaning there is nothing to innovate, this has already been refuted elsewhere—including at the beginning of chapter 40 in Tanya—which states that specifically under the sun this applies. Even regarding matters of holiness—even Torah itself and what is learned with effort—but Torah study according to the teachings of Chassidus, which is above the sun, certainly there is much to innovate. Moreover, this is truly the mission of every single Jew. There is no need to elaborate on such an obvious matter.
May you have good news regarding all this—in a manner of continuous increase—for we are approaching auspicious days: the bright days of Yud Kislev and Yud-Tes Kislev, as well as Chanukah immediately following them when we follow Beis Hillel's ruling to increase day by day.
