...ועתה באתי בהנוגע לישיבת... אשר נקראת על שם כ"ק מו"ר אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, שכנראה אין איש שם על לב לזה שלימודי קדש לכתה, הם משעה עד שעה וחצי, ביום! ומובן במה מתעסקים כל היום כולו, והאומנם על זה יקרא שם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר?
כדרכי מאז, אין אני בא בטענות על העבר, כי מה אועיל, כי אם בהנוגע לההוה והעתיד, ואין כוונתי ג"כ שברגע קבלת מכתבי, יתחילו ללמוד הנ"ל כל שעות היום והלילה, כי אם שתיכף יעשו תכנית פעולות באופן שתהי' השערה קרובה לודאי, שבעתיד הקרוב יגדילו כמות שעות לימוד בהאמור ויוסיפו בזה יותר ויותר עד שיהי' המוסד מתאים לשמו, ומובן שברשותו ומזכותו להודיע הכתוב לכל אנ"ש אשר ב... ולכל אלה שיש לקוות לתועלת כשידעו ע"ד הכתוב ובתוספת הסברה, שאין כל קישוים להשיג את המבוקש, ואין הדבר תלוי אלא שידעו שזהו מתפקידם והענין מוטל על שכם כל אחד מהם, ובסגנון המשנה הבע"ב - של כה"ע... - דוחק והפועלים עצלים, אלא שיש להוסיף, שכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר מעורר ר"ר ומשפיע ברכה והצלחה, ושעליהם רק לעשות כלים מתאימים לזה, וק"ל.
במ"ש אודות המשכורת, הגיעתני ידיעה מהצד, אף שכמובן אינני ערב בזה, שהמשכורת בכאלו (עכ"פ במוסד דומה להנ"ל) הוא... ובטח יודיע בזה, והרי בשביעת רצון של "כולנו", כלשונו במכתבו, תלוי ביאת עוד אברכים לשם, שהרי חברא חברא אית לי' וכשמגיעה שמועה שפלוני דחוק ומצומצם בפרנסתו, וכו' וכו' הרי מתפרסם הדבר וקל להבין התוצאות...

...And now I come regarding the yeshiva... which is named after my revered teacher and father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal lehe nbgm zya, that apparently no one pays attention to the fact that the Torah studies for the class are only from an hour to an hour and a half per day! It is clear what occupies them for the rest of the day, and is it truly fitting that this institution bears my father-in-law's name?
As is my way from long ago, I do not come with complaints about the past—for what would it help?—but rather regarding the present and future. Nor do I mean that immediately upon receiving my letter they should begin studying all day and night as mentioned above; rather, they should at once make an action plan so there will be a reasonable expectation that in the near future they will increase the number of study hours as stated, adding more and more until the institution matches its name.
It is understood that you have permission and merit to inform all Anash in... and all those who might benefit from knowing about this matter—with added explanation—that there are no real difficulties in achieving this goal. The only thing needed is for everyone to realize it is their responsibility; it rests on each of their shoulders. In the language of Mishnah: "the pressure is great and the workers are lazy," but it must be added that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, arouses abundant mercy and bestows blessing and success; their task is only to create suitable vessels for this, and that's sufficient.
Regarding what you wrote about salaries: information has reached me from another source—though of course I do not guarantee this—that salaries in such institutions (at least in a similar institution as mentioned above) are... You will surely inform me about this. The satisfaction of "all of us," as you wrote in your letter, depends on more Avrechim coming there. For "a friend brings a friend," and when word spreads that someone is struggling financially etc., it becomes known—and it's easy to understand the consequences...
