בנועם נודעתי על ידי מחו' הוו"ח אי"א נו"מ עוסק בצ"צ וכו' הרב ר' שניאור זלמן שי' בעזפאלאוו מהתקדמות מוסד החינוך הנ"ל ומהתעסקותם והשתדלותם הנאמנה וביסוסו ולהתפתחותו.
והנה על הצורך החיוני של חינוך הכשר על טהרת הקדש בזמננו זה בפרט, האריכות אך למותר, וכן דעת לנבון נקל על דבר החובה והזכות הכרוכים בעבודת הקדש הלזו, כיון שחינוך הבנים והבנות הוא ענין נצחי ואין-סופי הנוגע לדורות ודורי דורות, שלכן כל פעולה טובה בזה יש בה מן הטוב הנצחי, נוסף על הטוב הנראה והנגלה בהוה.
ובימים אלו שלפני חודש אדר, שמשנכנס אדר מרבים בשמחה, היינו שמחה ברבוי ובתוספת, ואין לך שמחה גדולה משמחת קירוב לבם של בני ובנות ישראל לאביהם שבשמים על ידי מסורת אבותנו הק' תורתנו הק' תורת חיים ומצותי' בחיי היום-יום, בטח יוסיפו אומץ בעבודתם בקדש להרבות השמחה במעונו של הקב"ה דירתו בתחתונים לקיים את הכתוב ועשו לי מקדש ושכנתי בתוכם, ובמדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה תתרבה השמחה במעונם של כל אחד ואחד, בכל מילי במיטב מנפש ועד בשר.

In this letter, the Rebbe addresses the administrators and activists dedicated to the "holy and pure" educational institution located within the Adas Israel synagogue. This letter serves as a follow-up to Letter 6,043, where the Rebbe had previously written to Rabbi Shneur Zalman Bespalov regarding the establishment of this Yeshiva in San Francisco. At that time, the Rebbe had advised that the school should be established under the Chabad charter to avoid future complications and to ensure a foundation of spiritual integrity.
The Rebbe begins by expressing his pleasure at hearing from his mechutan, Rabbi Bespalov, regarding the significant progress and development of the school. He notes that while it should be self-evident, it is worth emphasizing the "vital necessity" of providing a kosher education based on the foundations of holiness, especially in our current times. He describes this work not only as a profound obligation but as a unique privilege.
The Rebbe highlights a powerful perspective on education: the chinuch of our sons and daughters is an eternal, infinite endeavor. It is not merely a local or temporary activity; it impacts generations upon generations. Every positive action taken today creates an "eternal good" that ripples through time, in addition to the visible benefits seen in the present.
Connecting the mission to the calendar, the Rebbe notes that they are in the days leading up to the month of Adar—a time defined by an increase in joy. He teaches that there is no greater joy than "bringing the hearts of the children of Israel closer to their Father in Heaven" through our holy traditions and the living Torah. By teaching children to integrate Mitzvos into their daily lives, the activists are creating a source of immense joy for Hashem.
The Rebbe encourages them to redouble their efforts to create a "dwelling place" for the Divine in this world, citing the verse from Parshas Terumah: "V’ossu li mikdash v’shochanti b’sochom" (Make for Me a sanctuary, and I will dwell among them).
He concludes with a beautiful promise of "measure for measure": as these administrators work to increase Hashem's joy by building His "home" through education, Hashem will, in turn, increase the joy in their own homes. The Rebbe blesses each of them with success in their holy work and with goodness in all matters, both spiritual and physical—minefesh v’ad bassar.
