I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 8th of Elul, in which you write about the continuation of building the mikvah and the financial difficulties encountered in this matter. It is surprising that you do not mention what were the results of the fundraising efforts, both in writing and through visits to various places.

Regarding what you wrote about making a box, it seems you mean a pushka to place at the entrance. Here, we have not tried such a thing at all. I have already written to several of Anash from Eretz HaKodesh that fundraising in these countries requires someone local to speak and inspire; only after that can letters or similar efforts be effective—perhaps—and especially when it concerns something entirely new located elsewhere with no connection to people here (aside from the general principle that all Jews are responsible for one another).

May it be G‑d's will that you share good news in all general and personal matters. As we approach the new year coming upon us and all Israel for good and blessing, I hereby express my blessing to you and all yours: may you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year materially and spiritually.
