ווארום יעדער איינער מוז דאך שטייגען אלץ העכער און העכער אין יהדות און אמונה און דעת את ה', ביז מיר וועלן זוכה זיין אינגיכן צו דער דערפילונג פונם ג-טלעכן צוזאג דורך דעם נביא - כולם ידעו אותי גו' ומלאה הארץ דעה את הוי' גו'.

Herewith I acknowledge receipt of your letter from Thursday of Parshas Pinchas, along with your contribution which was delivered to the special fund established on the day of redemption of the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe. This fund is dedicated to those institutions bearing the name of the Baal HaSimchah—Oholei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch—which are devoted to proper education.
You mention in passing that you do not come from a Chassidic family but are an admirer of Chabad. Now and always—especially at this time—is not a time for division according to family background, for all Israel must be united as friends in a manner that brings about the maximum in matters of Torah and mitzvos.
It follows then that a movement which accepts all aspects of Judaism according to Torah and tradition—and even adds an element of inner vitality and illumination through the inner dimension of Torah as spread by Chabad Chassidus in a way that is comprehensible to the intellect—will step by step become the possession of all families in Israel, all Jews.
For everyone must continually ascend higher and higher in Judaism, faith, and knowledge of G‑d until we merit soon the fulfillment of the Divine promise through the prophet: "Kulam yeid'u oti... u'male'ah haaretz de'ah es Hashem" (All will know Me... and the earth will be filled with knowledge of Hashem).
