לאחרי הפסק ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מכ"ה סיון, וכבר כתבתי לכמה וכמה, אשר חבל שמודיעים על דבר הנעשה אתם רק בקשר עם מאורע בלתי רצוי, ולכן באם למעלה רוצים לסבב קשור מכתבים המביא סוף סוף לקירוב הלבבות, אין נראית דרך אחרת בטבע כי אם על ידי מאורע בלתי רצוי משא"כ באם היו מדייקים לכתוב בעת ישנה בשורה טובה, לא היו זקוקים למאורע הבלתי רצוי, ושאין תכליתו אלא קירוב הלבבות והוספה בהענין דאהבת ישראל איש לרעהו.
בעת רצון אזכירו ואת זוגתו תחי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע להטבת מצב בריאותם ולבשורות טובות בענינים שלהם ושל הבנים והבנות שיחיו וכן מפעולתו בסביבתו להחזקת יהדות המסורתית והפצתה, אשר באמת זה בזה תלוי, כי הרי ישראל תפקידם להיות גוי אחד בארץ, ובלשון רבנו הזקן בעל התניא והשו"ע, שימשיכו האחדות גם בעניני ארץ בענינים הארצים והגשמים, שבזה נכללת התאחדות החלק הגשמי והרוחני של חיי ימי האדם עלי אדמות שיהוו אחדות אמיתית, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.
המחכה לבשורות טובות בטוב הנראה והנגלה בהענינים אודותם מזכיר במכתבו ויהי רצון שיהי' זה בקרוב.

After a long pause, your letter from the 25th of Sivan was received. I have already written to many that it is unfortunate that people only inform about what happens to them in connection with an undesirable event. Therefore, if Above they wish to bring about a correspondence that ultimately leads to closeness of hearts, there seems to be no other natural way except through an undesirable event. However, if one were careful to write when there is good news, there would be no need for the undesirable event—whose sole purpose is to bring hearts closer and increase Ahavas Yisrael between one another.
At an auspicious time I will mention you and your wife at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, for improvement in your health and for good news regarding your matters and those of your sons and daughters. Also for success in your efforts in your surroundings to strengthen and spread traditional Judaism—which is truly interconnected with all these things. For Israel's role is to be one nation on earth; as our master the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch, says: we must draw unity even into worldly and material matters. This includes uniting the physical and spiritual aspects of a person's life on earth so they form true unity. Nothing stands in the way of willpower.
I await good news—visible and revealed good—in the matters you mention in your letter. May it be so soon.
