לקראת חג המצות, זמן חירותנו, הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לחג כשר ושמח ולחירות אמתית, חירות מדאגות בגשם ומדאגות ברוח - מכל דבר המעכב עבודת ה' בשמחה ובטוב לבב,
ולהמשיך מחירות ושמחה זו בימי כל השנה כולה.
ובפרט שעבודת השם, כמצווה עלינו בתורתנו תורת חיים, הרי היא בכל עניני האדם ובמשך כל היום וכל הלילה, וכמו שנאמר בכל דרכיך דעהו.
בכבוד ובברכת החג - ולהתראות בקרוב פא"פ בשובע שמחות.
מצורף לזה הנני שולח לכ' מצה שמורה שנאפה היום ערב פסח כמנהג ישראל, זכר לקרבן פסח הנקרב בערב פסח, ויהי רצון שבקרוב נזכה לבנין בית המקדש ונקריב קרבן פסח במועדו ונאכל שם מן הזבחים ומן הפסחים.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
As we approach the Festival of Matzos, the Season of our Freedom, which is coming upon us and all Israel for good, I hereby express my blessing for a kosher and joyous festival and for true freedom—freedom from material worries and from spiritual worries—from anything that hinders serving Hashem with joy and gladness of heart. May this freedom and joy continue throughout the entire year.
Especially since serving Hashem, as we are commanded in our Torah—the Torah of Life—applies to all aspects of a person's life and throughout every day and night, as it is said: "Bechol derachecha da'eihu" (In all your ways know Him).
With honor and holiday blessings—and may we meet soon face to face in abundant joy.
Enclosed I am sending you shmurah matzah that was baked today, on Erev Pesach, according to Jewish custom—a remembrance of the Korban Pesach that was offered on Erev Pesach. May it be G‑d's will that soon we merit the rebuilding of the Beis HaMikdash so we can offer the Korban Pesach in its proper time and eat there from the sacrifices and from the Pesach offerings.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that true freedom comes from serving Hashem with joy in every aspect of life. The gift of shmurah matzah connects us to our heritage and expresses hope for redemption and renewed service in the Beis HaMikdash.
