במענה על מכתבו מכ"ג אד"ר והקודמיו.
בכלל דעתי שצריך להמשיך ללמוד במקום בו לומד עתה ומכמה טעמים, ובפרט שגם הוא כותב שהפסיקו מלדבר אודות לימודו דא"ח וכו'. ומ"ש שמצד התעסקותו בישיבת הערב מתאחרת קצת ביאתו, צריך לחפש עצות לזה, כוונתי אפשר יש מי אחר שיעסוק קצת הזמן שעתה שוהה הוא בישיבת הערב לשעה קלה זו ומפני הסדרים צ"ל בישיבה בה לומד, יחליפו האחר בישיבת הערב, ובטח לא כ"כ קשה הוא אם יתענינו בזה, וגם לא יהיה עי"ז היזק לתלמידי ישיבת הערב כיון שבטח רק שעה קלה הוא, ואם בשו"א אי אפשר לסדר שני הדברים, כדאי שמישיך לימודו בישיבתו עתה, וזכות התעסקותו בישיבת הערב ובכלל בהפצת המעינות תעמוד לו מתאים להבטחה ברורה מכ"ק רבנו הזקן, שנעשים מוחו ולבו זכים אלף פעמים ככה, ומתחזקת הבטחה זו ע"י סגולת ימים אלו שכל החדש הוא בבחי' ראש החדש כמובא בשל"ה ונתבאר בדא"ח וכללות החדש הוא חדש הגאולה והנסים מכל ענינים המבלבלים מעלימים ומסתירים וחירות אמיתי ה"ה הקשורה בתורתנו ובפרט בפנימיות התורה השייכת יותר לאותיות החקיקה חרות על הלוחות, ויה"ר שיראה כל זה במוחש ממש ויבשר טוב בכל ענינים הן הכללים והן הפרטים.

In response to your letter from the 23rd of Adar II and those before it. In general, my opinion is that you should continue learning where you are currently studying, for several reasons—especially since you write that people have stopped discussing your study of Chassidus, etc.
Regarding what you wrote about your involvement in the evening yeshivah causing some delay in your arrival, you should look for solutions to this. My intention is that perhaps someone else can take over for the short time you now spend at the evening yeshivah; due to scheduling needs, someone else can substitute for you there. Surely this is not so difficult if there is interest in it, and it will not harm the students of the evening yeshivah since it is only a short time. If it is absolutely impossible to arrange both things, it is worthwhile for you to continue your studies at your current yeshivah. The merit of your involvement in the evening yeshivah—and generally in spreading the wellsprings—will stand by you according to the clear assurance from our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe: one's mind and heart become refined a thousand times over. This assurance is further strengthened by the special quality of these days—since this entire month is considered like Rosh Chodesh (as brought in Shlah and explained in Chassidus), and overall this month is one of redemption and miracles from all matters that confuse, conceal, or obscure; true freedom is connected with our Torah—especially its inner dimension which relates more to engraved letters "charut al haluchot" (engraved on the tablets). May it be His will that you see all this tangibly and bring good news in all matters—both general and particular.
