Shalom u'Vrachah!

As the Festival of Matzos, the Season of our Freedom, approaches for us and all Israel for good, I hereby express my blessing for a kosher and joyful holiday and for true freedom—freedom from material and spiritual worries—from anything that hinders serving Hashem with joy and gladness of heart. May this freedom and joy continue throughout the entire year.

Especially since serving Hashem, as commanded in our Torah of life, applies to every aspect of a person’s life, throughout the day and night, as it is said: "B'chol derachecha da'eihu" (In all your ways know Him).

I was pleasantly informed that you have visited several times the Talmud Torah Beit Yosef Lubavitch Yeshiva in Toronto. Surely there is no need to remind you to assist and make efforts in everything related to this institution of chinuch al taharas hakodesh (education in purity), to strengthen it and help its development in every way. It is certain that a shaliach (messenger)—and every Jew is obligated to fulfill the command of Hashem to increase Torah and glorify it—fulfills his mission.

Some time ago I was visited by Dr. Y. Goldschmidt—the director of the Religious State Education Department in Eretz HaKodesh (the Holy Land). In my conversation with him about their curriculum there, I asked him about your book published in English "Culture and Judaism," suggesting it would be worthwhile to acquaint the teachers there with its content, etc. I was greatly surprised to hear from him that you had not informed him about the publication of this book!

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that true freedom comes from serving Hashem with joy, free from all worries. He encourages active involvement in strengthening Torah education and reminds us to share valuable resources with others who can benefit from them.
