Shalom u'Vrachah!
...In your question regarding the customs of a Yahrzeit—the day of passing—when, as in this year, it falls on Shabbat: it is understood that weekday activities and similar matters should not be done on Shabbat but rather on Friday, in accordance with the ruling of the later authorities in such cases. See Kaf HaChaim on Orach Chaim section 568, Ikrei HaDat Yoreh Deah section 36 letter 35, and others (and not as written in Sefer Gesher HaChaim on this matter).
I was pleased to read at the end of your letter that you participate in the gatherings of Tzeirei Agudas Chassidei Chabad and Anash in general. Certainly it is unnecessary to remind you that the main thing is to take from this inspiration so that it leads to practical action in thought, speech, and deed.
With blessing, in the name of the Rebbe shlita
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that when a Yahrzeit falls on Shabbat, weekday customs should be observed beforehand. He encourages channeling inspiration from communal gatherings into concrete actions in all aspects of life.
