ובודאי למותר האריכות בגודל מעלת ענין זה וכמובא גם לפסק הלכה, ממציא לו מלאכה כו' ותקותי שלהבא לא רק שינהג ככה אלא גם יוסיף בזה ככל האפשרי לזמנים תכופים יותר ובענינים גדולים יותר, אלא שנשען על מרז"ל אין מזרזין אלא למזורזין, כותב הנני על דבר זה ולא נצרכה אלא להעדפה, וראה גם כן שולחן ערוך יורה דעה ע"פ מרז"ל שבת סג, א. פסחים נג, ב. משנה סוף הוריות, כהן קודם כו' ובכמה מקומות.
בברכה להרחבת פרנסתו הוא ואשר יקויים בה פתגם הידוע של רבנו הזקן בעל התניא והשולחן ערוך, אז השם יתברך גיט אידן גשמיות און זיי מאכען פון גשמיות רוחניות.
המצפה לבשורות טובות בכל האמור וכן מפעולותיו הטובות בהרחבת הישיבה שיסדו הרחבה הן בכמות והן באיכות.

I was pleased to learn during my conversation with...Shai HaKohen...that he meets with you from time to time and that you assist him in business matters and especially regarding precious stones. Certainly, it is unnecessary to elaborate on the great virtue of this matter, as is also brought in halachic rulings: "providing him with work," etc. My hope is that in the future you will not only continue this conduct but also increase it as much as possible—more frequently and in greater matters. However, relying on our Sages' saying: "They only urge those who are already diligent," I am writing about this not out of necessity but for added encouragement. See also Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De'ah based on our Sages (Shabbat 63a; Pesachim 53b; end of Mishnah Horayot: 'the Kohen comes first,' etc., and many places).
With a blessing for expanded livelihood for you and that the well-known saying of our master the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch, be fulfilled for you: "Then Hashem gives Jews materiality and they make from materiality spirituality."
I await good news regarding all the above and also from your good activities in expanding the yeshivah that was established—expansion both in quantity and quality.
