מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו ממוצש"ק, ומובן שמצער הגרעון בהתועדות י"ט כסלו זה בכפר חב"ד, אשר אפילו את"ל שאין זה אלא גרעון בכמות האורחים, רואים במוחש שברובא דרובא גרעון כמותי בכגון דא מביא ג"כ לגרעון באיכות, ובפרט שהוא יום סגולה היינו ראש השנה לתורת החסידות ודרכי החסידות, וק"ל. ובפרט שכותב שצד הטכני הי' מאורגן יותר טוב, וכן בהנוגע להפצת הספרים עריכת מזנון וכיו"ב - שמובן שיכולים היו לנצל שהות המבקרים בכפר בפעולות - יותר מאשר בשנים שעברו. וכיון שכותב שגם בלוד הי' גרעון, חוששני שזהו צד השוה במפעלות צעירי אגו"ח דת"א והכפר חלישות בפרטים האמורים. והרי הפרטים הולכים אחר הכלל, ומזה מובן ג"כ ההכרח לתקן בהכלל, ז. א. בההנהלה, את החסרונות. ובהקדם הכי אפשרי ובמדה הכי גדולה, כי הרי כמה שלא יתקנו ולא יוסיפו הלואי שיספיקו למלאות דרישת השעה.
והאומנם לא תהי' השתדלות בתורה שלימה שלנו במסירות ונתינות המתאימה, כשל אלו המתעסקים בשיחה בטלה שלהם, ועוברים ימים שבועות וחדשים ללא ניצול כלל, ועכ"פ לא ניצול בערך כדבעי. ויה"ר שסו"ס יזכה כ"א בתכ"י לבשר טוב ואין טוב אלא תורה ובפרט פנימיות התורה אילנא דחיי שאין שם תערובות טו"ר כ"א טוב.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from Motzaei Shabbos Kodesh. It is clear that the lack at the Yud Tes Kislev farbrengen this year in Kfar Chabad—even if one says it was only a quantitative lack of guests—demonstrates tangibly that in most cases, a quantitative deficiency of this kind also brings about a qualitative deficiency. Especially since this is a day of segulah, namely Rosh Hashanah for Toras HaChassidus and its ways, and this is well understood.
Especially as you write that the technical side was better organized this year, as well as regarding book distribution, arranging refreshments, and similar matters—it is clear that more could have been done to utilize the visitors’ time in the village for activities—more than in previous years.
And since you write that there was also a lack in Lod, I am concerned that this is a common factor in the activities of Tzeirei Agudas Chabad in Tel Aviv and the village—a weakness in the aforementioned details. And since details follow from the general principle, it is also understood that it is necessary to correct things at the general level—in other words, within management—to address these deficiencies.
This should be done as soon as possible and to the greatest extent possible, because no matter how much is corrected or added, hopefully it will suffice to meet the needs of the time.
Is it possible that there will not be effort in our complete Torah with appropriate dedication and giving—as those who occupy themselves with idle talk do—and days, weeks, and months pass without any use at all or at least not proper use?
May it be G‑d’s will that ultimately each person will merit very soon to share good news—and there is no good except Torah—and especially Pnimiyus HaTorah, Ilana DeChayei (the Tree of Life), where there is no mixture of good and evil but only good.
