Your letter was received in due time along with the enclosed pan from the bright day of Yud-Tes Kislev, our day of redemption and the liberation of our souls.

Regarding what I wrote about the rental arrangements ^[1], it is understood that through this there is certainly no loss—G‑d forbid—from the merit of a tamim; on the contrary, there is only an addition and not—G‑d forbid—a deficiency. I hope that from Rosh Hashanah for Chassidus and its ways (Yud-Tes Kislev), you have increased your efforts in a way that overflows to others as well, since this increase must also reach those you influence.

As is known, during the yearly cycle all influences and transmissions are renewed, as it is written: 'VeHayamim HaEleh Nizkarim VeNaasim' ("And these days are remembered and performed"). Accordingly, there is also a renewal of the well-known heavenly court's ruling that all who follow in the footsteps of Admor HaZaken have the upper hand—especially as explained in Iggeres HaKodesh section 14: every year must bring an increase in light. It appears there that this means not just more of the same light but a completely new light—see there for details.

This is particularly relevant since in the meantime we also experienced Chanukah—the eight lights specifically. It is explained that eight represents something incomparable to seven; for example, the eighth encompasses all around it. Our sages also teach that in the future era, the harp will have eight strings—whereas even in the First Beis HaMikdash it had only seven strings.
