מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבם מט"ז כסלו, וכן מכתב השני מיום הנ"ל...
דרישה נוספת עתה מכל אחד מבני ישראל וביחוד מאנ"ש וביותר מהצעירים, והם פעולות מתאימות לדרישת השעה ואפשריות הניתנות מהשגחה העליונה, והרי רואים בעליל שדוקא עתה יש לפעול להרמת קרן ישראל סבא לתורתו ולמצותי', עד כדי החדרת תורת החסידות והדרכותי' בחוגים רחבים, וכל רגע ושעה העוברים הם אבדה מבהילה, ומי יודע אם תהי' עוד אפשריות כזו, וע"ד פעולות ממשיות וניצול האפשריות האמורות, לעת עתה לא נמצא במכתבם זה ולא בהקודם (אף שיש בהם בהנוגע להחלטות ואיזה פעולות בעבר, ולצערנו בממדים בלתי מספיקים).
פשוט שאין כוונתי להטפת מוסר, אלא לעוררם על חלק היפה שהשגחה העליונה העמידתם עליו, ואשר ינצלו האפשריות במילואה, שרב טוב צפון בה, טוב הרוחני והגשמי ובטוב הנראה והנגלה, ואין הדבר תלוי אלא ברצונם, כי הרי הכחות והאפשריות נתנו מידו הפתוחה הקדושה והרחבה.
ויהי רצון שימי חנוכה האלו, אשר אלו ואלו דא"ח, שהולך ופוחת והולך ומוסיף, הולך ופוחת בעינים דלעו"ז והולך ומוסיף בענינים דקדושה, יוסיפו הצלחה בהעבודה האמורה, שכל אחד ואחד מצעירי אגו"ח וכולם יחדיו - ע"י עבודתם בקדש יהי' פוחת והולך מיום ליום בענינים דלעו"ז בכל הסביבה בכל העיר וכו', והולך ומוסיף בכל הסביבה ובכל העיר בעניני קדושה ואור, נר מצוה תורה אור ומאור שבתורה זוהי פנימיות התורה תורת החסידות הדרכותי' ומנהגי'.
נתעכב השילוח וז"ע נתקבל המכ' מכ"ב כסלו מההתועדויות דיט"כ, גאולתנו ופדות נפשו, ויה"ר אשר מר"ה זה לחסידות ועניני' תומשך תוספת פעולות מוצלחות בכל השנה כולה ובכל השטחים, והרי כולם מכוונים לנקודה התיכונה - הפצת המעינות חוצה ולשיא שלה - ביאת משיח צדקנו במהרה בימינו ממש.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 16th of Kislev, as well as your second letter from the same date...
There is now an additional demand from every Jew, especially from Anash and even more so from the youth: appropriate activities in response to the needs of the time and opportunities granted by Divine Providence. It is clearly evident that specifically now there is a need to act to uplift the pride of Israel Saba, his Torah and mitzvot, to the extent of instilling Chassidus and its guidance into broader circles. Every passing moment is a frightening loss, and who knows if such an opportunity will come again? Regarding concrete actions and utilizing these opportunities, for now I do not find this in your current letter nor in the previous one (even though they mention decisions and some past activities, unfortunately on an insufficient scale).
It is obvious that my intention is not to preach morals but to awaken you to the beautiful portion that Divine Providence has placed you upon—and that you should utilize this opportunity fully. Much good is hidden within it: spiritual and material good, visible and revealed good. The matter depends only on your will, for the strengths and opportunities have been given by His open, holy, and generous hand.
May it be G‑d's will that these days of Chanukah—which are both "these and those are words of the living G‑d," which decrease (in matters opposed to holiness) and increase (in matters of holiness), decreasing in negative things day by day throughout your environment and city, while increasing in all matters of holiness and light—mitzvah candle is Torah light, and the luminary within Torah is the inner dimension of Torah: Chassidus, its guidance, and customs—bring increased success in this work. May each member of Tzeirei Aguch individually and all together through their holy work cause a decrease day by day in negative matters throughout their surroundings and city etc., while increasing everywhere in matters of holiness.
The sending was delayed; meanwhile I received your letter from 22 Kislev regarding the gatherings after Yom Kippur—the redemption of our souls. May it be G‑d's will that from this Rosh Hashanah for Chassidus and its matters there will be increased successful activities throughout the entire year in all areas. All are directed toward one central point: spreading the wellsprings outward—to their ultimate goal: the coming of our righteous Moshiach speedily in our days.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches us to seize every opportunity granted by Divine Providence—especially during Chanukah—to spread Chassidus widely. Every moment counts; our efforts now can bring both spiritual and material blessings as we prepare for redemption.
