Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 2nd of Kislev, in which you write that the doctor wishes to perform a certain examination on you, and some say it is forbidden according to Shulchan Aruch. When you speak with a specialist in the field, you will learn that this examination is not merely for information but that the results determine the course of treatment. Therefore, there are rabbanim—halachic authorities in Israel—who permit it in certain cases. Since there are several methods for this examination, one should begin with the method that is least problematic according to Shulchan Aruch. Ask your treating doctor to explain to the local halachic authority the different types of examinations so he can advise which method to start with.
At an auspicious time I will mention you and your wife at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may his merit protect us), and may it be G‑d's will that you share good news regarding the fulfillment of your heart's desires for good.
Blessings,
In the name of the Rebbe shlita,
Secretary

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that when facing medical decisions with halachic implications, one should consult both medical specialists and qualified halachic authorities to ensure proper care while adhering to Torah law.
