My letters in response to your previous letter surely arrived on time, and I hereby confirm receipt of your letter from the end of Tammuz—which was somewhat delayed before reaching me.

Regarding what you wrote about the lack of books, you should have specified more details. Of course, as much as possible, these should be books published by Kehot, as those are easier to obtain.

You have surely met at least once with the shluchim—the Avrechim rabbis, may they live—and made use of their visit to Eretz HaKodesh for your own work in the Chabad vineyard. Certainly you will also inform me with appropriate details about this as well, and may Hashem grant you success.

I have heard a rumor (and hopefully it will prove false) that there are those who are hindering you in spreading the wellsprings among Torah scholars. Surely you will not be affected by this at all. With pleasant ways continue to spread the wellsprings of Torah—for these are its ways—and together with this is called 'toshiyah,' for it weakens the strength of all those who oppose its dissemination. And anyone who says such a rumor is not proper—our Sages have already said that even a rumor he finds pleasing will be lost to him, G‑d forbid. Fortunate is your portion in the aforementioned Holy City, and ultimately your hand will prevail, as is known from the ruling of the Heavenly Court.
