After the longest interruption, your letter from the 15th of Menachem Av was received—a day when the moon is at its fullest perfection, as our Sages say: "There were no festivals for Israel like the fifteenth of Av and Yom Kippur," etc.

I was pleased to read that you succeeded in correcting several Torah scrolls. The greatness of this matter cannot be adequately described—especially as explained in Zohar, part III, page 1 regarding an extra vav being found, etc., and similarly in Tikkunei Zohar, Tikkun 25 concerning matters of missing and extra letters.

It should be noted that according to the above, we also understand the importance of Ahavas Yisrael (love for every Jew), as also explained at one of the gatherings—a passage from which was copied into Kovetz Lubavitch part III.

It is obvious that all of the above does not exempt one from regular study sessions in both Nigleh (revealed Torah) and Chassidus, in addition to the three well-known daily portions in Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya. May Hashem grant you success.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that while correcting Torah scrolls is a tremendous merit with deep mystical significance, it does not replace one's obligation to maintain daily study in both revealed Torah and Chassidus alongside established daily portions.
