במענה על מכתבו מח"י לירחא תליתאי, בו שואל מה על זוגתו תחי' לעשות.
- וכבר מלתו אמורה בתורתנו הק' תורת חיים, והוא בשלשת המצות העיקריות "הח"ן" שניתנו לנשים ובכל המצות שמחויבים בהם, וכמפורט בשו"ע לרבנו הזקן הלכות ת"ת סוף פרק א', וכבר נודע דרז"ל על הפסוק כל כבודה בת מלך פנימה, שעל ידי הנהגה בצניעות כיסוי הראש זוכים לבנים וכו'.
ובמ"ש אודות הסתדרותו בעתיד, מובן שכאו"א שיכול להשפיע בהחזקת היהדות והפצתה ב... ובפרט מתושבי... צריך לעשות בזה ככל יכולתו, ובודאי שככל שאר מצות התורה, ובפרט בהצלת נפשות מישראל לחיי העוה"ב מוסיפים בברכת השי"ת והצלחתו להמתעסקים בזה בבני חיי ומזוני רוויחא, וע"פ זה פשוט שעליו ועל זוגתו שיחיו, כיון שחוננו השי"ת בכשרון לחנוך לפעול בכל המרץ בשטח זה בין אחיו אשר ב... במרץ הכי גדול.
לפלא שאין מזכיר משיעורי לימוד שלו בתורת החסידות נוסף על שיעוריו בלימוד הנגלה, ונוסף על שלשת השיעורים השוים לכל נפש מתקנת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע בחומש תהלים ותניא הידועים.

In response to your letter from the 18th of the third month, in which you ask what your wife should do. – The answer is already stated in our holy Torah, the Torah of Life, specifically in the three main mitzvos "ha-chen" given to women and in all mitzvos they are obligated in, as detailed in Shulchan Aruch by our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe, Laws of Torah Study at the end of chapter one. It is already known what our Sages said on the verse Kol Kevudah Bas Melech Penimah ("All glorious is the king's daughter within")—that through conduct with modesty and covering the hair one merits children, etc.
Regarding what you wrote about your future arrangements: it is understood that everyone who can influence strengthening Judaism and spreading it among... especially among residents of... must do so to their utmost ability. Certainly, as with all other mitzvos of the Torah—especially when it comes to saving Jewish souls for eternal life—one increases G‑d's blessing and success for those involved in this regarding children, life, and abundant sustenance. Accordingly, it is obvious that you and your wife—since G‑d has granted you talent for education—should act with full energy in this area among your brethren who are in... with the greatest vigor.
It is surprising that you do not mention your study schedule in Chassidus in addition to your study of Nigleh (revealed Torah), as well as the three daily lessons instituted by my revered father-in-law the Rebbe zatzal: Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya.
