I acknowledge receipt of your letter and the pidyon nefesh for ... shlita (I believe I wrote to you about this two years ago). Enclosed is the response to him. May it be G‑d's will that just as you were the emissary to bring this request, you will succeed with Hashem's help to bring good news regarding this matter and also good news concerning the affairs of the Yeshivah. Among these is that they increase in Reishit Chochmah (the beginning of wisdom), whose foundation is awe of Hashem, love of Hashem, and mitzvot that are constant at all times, in every place, and for every individual—as brought in the introduction to Sefer HaChinuch. See also Tanya Kadisha, introduction to part two, "Chanoch LaNaar," and thereby there will also be an increase in wisdom itself, as ruled in the Mishnah: "Anyone whose fear of sin precedes his wisdom..."
