Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter, in which you write that you see a sign of blessing in your studies but regarding correcting the known issue, it seems to you that there is no improvement in the situation. Know that "the matters of Heaven are hidden," and a person must do what is incumbent upon him—especially since it is impossible that there is no movement toward improvement. The thought that there is no change is only a trick of the yetzer hara to bring about lowliness and discouragement in order to prevent you from progressing in serving Hashem. Also, study Tanya from chapter 29 onward.

In any case, strive to completely divert your mind from the above matter—even from its correction—as much as possible. Instead, increase your influence on others by bringing them closer to Torah and its mitzvos. Through this, Hashem will increase His blessing for your own advancement, for the measure of the Holy One is measure for measure—only many times over.

With blessing for good news in all the above.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that discouragement over persistent struggles is often a tactic of the yetzer hara. By focusing on helping others and continuing one's efforts, one merits increased Divine blessing and personal growth.
