I was pleased to receive your letter in which you write about the farbrengen for the festival of redemption of our master, the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch—which is also our own redemption and the liberation of our souls—and about the words of inspiration that were shared at this gathering. I was also pleased to learn from your letter about the opening of a synagogue for new immigrants and that you serve as the shaliach tzibbur (prayer leader). It would be appropriate that in addition to the class already being taught there, there should also be a class in Chassidus. In this way, you will fulfill our Sages' saying: "Great is study for it leads to action," meaning walking in the guidance and customs of this Torah. Since you merited to study at Yeshivas Oholei Yosef Yitzchak in Morocco, in Meknes, this merit should help you also be one who inspires and works to establish such a class in this synagogue. The greatness of this matter cannot be overstated—especially since it will certainly have a positive effect on your livelihood and that of your entire family in material matters.
