In response to your notification that a daughter was born to you—mazal tov. May it be the will of Hashem that you raise her together with your wife and all your children for Torah, chuppah, and good deeds in abundance.

It is known from the Rebbe Rashab that our custom is also to say for the birth of a girl: 'for Torah, chuppah, and good deeds,' based on our Sages (Berachos 17a): 'How do women merit? By bringing their children to learn Torah, by sending their husbands to study Torah, and by waiting for them.'

Your letter from the 3rd of Teves was received. Regarding what you wrote about lighting electricity without first asking for guidance—the ruling of our holy Torah is as stated in Shulchan Aruch, section 328. Also see there in Shulchan Aruch Admur Hazaken, section 330:3 regarding when a woman reaches her ninth month... And there in subsection 1: if there is no candle due to fear for her child...

Regarding combining names—in connection with the names of the Rebbeim, my father-in-law the Rebbe did not want additional names added to theirs.
