במענה על מכתבו מט"ז כסלו, בו כותב אודות נדודיו מישיבה לישיבה מפני שרירות לבו וכו', ושואל העצה לזה.
והעצה נמצאת בטור שולחן ערוך אורח חיים ריש סימן א' יעויין שם ובכמה מקומות בתניא, ובמלות קצרות הוא, אשר תלמיד ישיבה צריך לשמוע להוראת ראש הישיבה ולמלאותם במילואם, והטענה אשר יצר הרע אינו מניח, אינה טענה, כי לכל איש יש נפש השנית היא נפש האלקית שעל ידה יכולים לנצח היצר הרע, אם רק ירצה באמת, ויזכהו השי"ת לחזור בתשובה על הנהגתו הבלתי מתאימה שעד עתה ולעשות זה בהקדם.

In response to your letter from the 16th of Kislev, in which you write about your wandering from yeshiva to yeshiva due to your own stubbornness, etc., and you ask for advice regarding this.
The advice is found in Tur Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim at the beginning of Siman 1—see there—and in several places in Tanya. In short: a yeshiva student must listen to the directives of the head of the yeshiva and fulfill them completely. The claim that the yetzer hara does not allow it is not a valid claim, for every person has a second soul—the G‑dly soul—through which one can overcome the yetzer hara if he truly desires. May Hashem grant you merit to return in teshuvah for your improper conduct until now and do so promptly.
