It is well known the saying of the Baal Shem Tov, which we have heard many times from my father-in-law, the Rebbe, that Hashem's love for every Jew—man or woman, young or old—is incomparably greater than the love of parents for their only child born to them in their old age.

From this it is also understood the great merit that anyone involved in these matters has, and the greatness of the reward from Hashem in all that one needs for oneself and one's family. Therefore I hope that reading your pidyon nefesh at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal nbgm zya, will arouse abundant mercy in this matter—especially regarding the improvement of your wife's health—and this will also add to your involvement to strengthen Judaism in general and through proper education in particular with joy.
