מכתבו עם הפ"נ המוסגר בו נתקבל בעתו, וימי חדש תשרי אין הזמן גרמא לענות, מלבד על שאלות דחופות ביותר וביותר, ובודאי יודיע בהזדמנות הקרובה איך הסתדר בשנה חדשה זו, וביחוד בסדר לימוד בקביעות בהתמדה ושקידה, ועכ"פ מכאן ולהבא יסתדר באופן כזה.
וכבר ידוע פסק תורתנו תורת חיים, אשר בטבע האדם ותולדתו המוח שליט על הלב, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, וכשיחליט בתוקף שעליו להיות כמתאים לצור מחצבתו, בודאי תושפע תוספת הצלחה ביגיעתו ובעילוי למעלה בלימוד התורה ובקיום המצות וזכות אבותיו מסייעתו.

Your letter with the enclosed pan was received in due time. The days of the month of Tishrei are not conducive to responding, except for the most urgent questions. Certainly you will inform me at your next opportunity how you have managed in this new year, especially regarding a steady and diligent schedule of study, and at least from now on you will arrange yourself accordingly.
It is already well known as a ruling of our Torah of life that it is human nature and innate that the mind rules over the heart, and nothing stands in the way of will. When one firmly decides that he must act as befits his source, certainly additional success will be bestowed upon his efforts and ascent in Torah study and mitzvah observance, with the merit of his ancestors assisting him.
I await good news about all this soon.
