The Rav and Chassid, a G‑d-fearing man, distinguished and honored, engaged in communal affairs, Reb Shlomo [Matusof]
Greetings and blessing!
I acknowledge receipt of your letters of the 2nd and 5th of MarCheshvan with their enclosures. It is surprising that until now not one of them has reported in detail how they made use of the days of the month of Tishrei — the general month of the entire year, "satiated with all good," from which good is drawn into the whole year — and especially with regard to those under their influence. Even though in the month of Tishrei the regular schedules are not in full force, nevertheless they surely made the effort, as I urged last year, to meet with the teachers, with some of the students, etc.; for even under the conditions prevailing now there was certainly room for this, in a suitable form.
It is surprising that the trip to France is taking so long, when, I believe, already on the 8th of Elul there was talk of more than ten students traveling.
Enclosed is what we have published recently; surely you will make suitable use of its contents...
With blessing for success,
M. Schneersohn
