במענה על מכתבו מכ"ז תשרי, בו כותב אשר נמצא במלחמה פנימית עצמית וכו'.
הנה נכון יהי' לבו בטוח בבורא העולמים אשר הוא היוצר יחד לבם ולפניו נגלו כל תעלומות אשר הנצחון במלחמה זו מובטח הוא ואין זה אלא שאלת הזמן, כי באם יעשה בזה ככל יכולתו ינחל נצחון מידי, ובאם לאו יתמשך ח"ו, אבל כבר הובטח כל אחד ואחת מעמנו אשר בל ידח ממנו נדח, כי הרי בכולם מתפאר הבורא שהם מעשי ידי להתפאר, אלא שניתנה בחירה חפשית לכל אחד ואחת בכדי שינסה כחותיו ויגלה נקודה הפנימית אשר בו בכחות עצמו, ועצם ההכרה וההתבוננות אשר הנצחון בטוח הוא, מוסיפה כח ועוז בהנהלת מלחמה זו ובגמרה בהקדם, ותודה אם יבשר טובות בהאמור לעיל בקרוב.

In response to your letter from the 27th of Tishrei, in which you write that you are engaged in an internal personal battle, etc.
Let your heart be confident in the Creator of the worlds, Who formed all hearts together and before Whom all secrets are revealed, that victory in this battle is assured; it is only a question of time. If you do all you can, you will achieve victory immediately; if not, G‑d forbid, it may be delayed. But every one of our people has already been assured that no one will be cast away from Him, for the Creator takes pride in all as "the work of My hands to be glorified." However, free choice was given to each person so they can test their own strengths and reveal their inner point through their own efforts. The very recognition and contemplation that victory is certain adds strength and courage to conduct this battle and to complete it quickly. I would appreciate it if you would soon share good news regarding the above.

Summary
