It is extremely troubling that you did not continue learning for at least a week or two after the official time, since this is a matter of principle—beyond the importance of the breath of children learning Torah. The reasons you write are clearly insufficient, since it would have been easy to fix the obstacles you mention. May it be G‑d’s will that in the coming term you will make up for what was lacking in regard to the past and add even more, as our Sages ruled: "Ma'alin bakodesh v'ein moridin" (we ascend in holiness and do not descend), and whoever adds is granted additional blessing.
