In response to your letter from Erev Shabbat Pinchas, and surely you have already received my reply to your previous letter. I was pleased to read in your letter that you are active in the matters of Mamed, and surely this will bring you additional success in health and your personal matters.

I hope that you are energetically seeking an appropriate way to teach the public, and similar activities. In addition to the main benefit—spiritual gain—one can also hope that with time this will also bring material benefit.

It is self-understood that all expenses you have in connection with the matters of Mamed must be covered by the Vaad HaMamed, as is known from the story of my father-in-law, the Rebbe: When his father, the Rebbe Maharash—zatzukal lehe nbgm zya—sent the distinguished philanthropist Moreinu Harav Shmuel a"h Gurary on a mission to Petersburg, he gave him from his own funds whatever was needed for expenses. And although it is self-understood how pleased chassid Shmuel a"h was with this mission, still the Rebbe wanted that the expenses should come specifically from his own funds. The reason for this is explained elsewhere.
