במענה על מכתבו מי"ב אייר, בו כותב שירא הוא מהשפעת איזה אנשים שממשיכים אותו לאורח חיים חפשי מדת ומצות, וגם לקבוץ חפשי, ולכן רוצה לנסוע לישיבה בחו"ל. אבל אם זה, רק זה הסיבה, הרי כמה מקומות ישנם באה"ק ת"ו שבם ישיבות כדבעי למיהוי, והרי יכול להכנס בתוכם וללמוד בהתמדה ושקידה וכשילמוד בדבוק חברים הרי יחזקוהו בהליכה בדרך העולה בית א-ל, וכמו שנאמר ואתם הדבקים בה' אלקיכם חיים כולכם היום, וכמה ישיבות ישנן שהן חדורים יראת שמים הן בפנימיות ואפילו בחיצוניות, היינו בהלבושים וכיו"ב, שכל זה מגדיר את האדם ומוסיף בכחותיו שלא להתפתות אחרי היצה"ר אשר גם אם בראשיתו שפתי חלקות לו, הנה אחריתו מרה כלענה לא רק ברוחניות אלא גם בגשמיות.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 12th of Iyar, in which you write that you are afraid of the influence of certain people who are drawing you toward a lifestyle free from Torah and mitzvos, as well as to a free-spirited group, and therefore you wish to travel to a yeshiva abroad.
But if this is the only reason, there are several places in Eretz HaKodesh where there are proper yeshivas, and you can enter one of them and study with diligence and perseverance. When you learn together with friends who are connected to you, they will strengthen you in following the path that leads upward to the House of G‑d, as it is said: 'Ve'atem ha'dveikim ba'Hashem Elokeichem chayim kulchem hayom' (And you who cleave to the L‑rd your G‑d are all alive today). There are many yeshivas imbued with fear of Heaven both inwardly and even outwardly—in dress and similar matters—all of which define a person and add strength not to be enticed by the yetzer hara, which even if at first speaks smooth words, its end is bitter as wormwood not only spiritually but also physically.
With blessings for success in all the above without delay, and how good it would be if it were in one of the yeshivas in Eretz HaKodesh. In the name of the Rebbe shlita, Mazkir.
