במענה על מכתבו מכ"ג ניסן, בו כותב מעבודתו בקדש ואשר משתדל כפי יכולתו להשפיע בסביבתו לקרב את לבן לאבינו שבשמים ע"י דברי התעוררות לתורה ומצותי', ושואל לספרים או חוברות מדברים בנדון זה.
והנה רבו כמו רבו ספרי דרוש וע[א]כו"כ ספרי חסידות המלאים התעוררות חיזוק ועידוד להחזקת היהדות והפצתה, וכמה מהם נמצאים אצל הרה"ח אי"א נו"נ עוסק בצ"צ איש רב פעלים בעל מרץ וכו' מוה"ר מיכאל שי' ליפסקאר, נוסף על מה שבטח יוכל להסבירו בעל פה ואין הדבר תלוי אלא בשנים ועל פי מרז"ל הידועים, מי שיש בו יראת שמים דבריו נשמעים, ודברים היוצאים מן הלב נכנסים אל הלב. שמזה מובן ג"כ שככל מה שיוסיף ביראת שמים (שהוא בלי גבול וגם אם ישנה בכל לבבך ובכל נפשך יכולה להיות גם בכל מאדך) וכן בהלבביות שבדבור, יצליח בהשפעתו, ופשוט ג"כ שצריך להוסיף בהנהגת עצמו בכל הנ"ל, וככל שירבה בקישוט עצמו תתרבה השפעת דבריו כמובן.
כבקשתו יזכירו את אמו תי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע נשיא ישראל להטבת בריאותה, אלא שע"פ המובא בזהר הק' (ח"א פד, א) ובכמה מקומות נזכרים בכגון דא בשם ובשם האם, ובטח יודיע את זה במכתבו הבא.

In response to your letter from the 23rd of Nissan, in which you write about your holy work and your efforts to influence your surroundings to draw their hearts closer to our Father in Heaven through words of inspiration for Torah and mitzvos, and you ask about books or pamphlets that address this topic.
There are indeed many books of derush (homiletics) and even more so many Chassidus texts filled with inspiration, strengthening, and encouragement for upholding Judaism and spreading it. Several of these are available from Harach"h iy"a nu"n oseik b'tzt"z ish rav pe'alim ba'al meretz etc. Moreinu HaRav Michael Lipskar, in addition to what he can certainly explain orally. Ultimately, it depends only on two things, as our Sages say: one who possesses fear of Heaven—his words are heeded; and words that come from the heart enter the heart.
From this it is also understood that the more one increases in Yiras Shamayim (which is without limit—even if one serves with all one's heart and soul, it can also be with all one's might), as well as heartfelt speech, the more successful he will be in his influence. It is also clear that one must increase in all the above within his own conduct; the more he adorns himself, the greater will be the impact of his words.
As you requested, your mother will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal nishmaso Eden nasi Yisrael for her improved health. However, as brought in Zohar HaKadosh (I:84a) and in several places regarding such matters, it is customary to mention both her name and her mother's name; surely you will inform me of this in your next letter.
