In response to your letter from Wednesday of Chanukah—and surely by now you have received my letter—I was pleased by what you wrote about the addition of students at the Yeshivas Achei Temimim in Rishon LeTzion. Regarding your comment that they are like "outsider bochurim," my strong hope—based on our Sages' teaching about extracting the precious from the worthless—is that this will further motivate you and all those involved to put forth every possible effort with these students as well.

Although it is known that the benefit of the many, and certainly preventing harm to the many, overrides the benefit of an individual, before dismissing someone one must first seek every possible way and perhaps it can be avoided. May Hashem grant you success in this...
