במענה על מכתבם מג' כסלו בצירוף הדו"ח מפעולותיהם בחדש אלול ותשרי העבר (ולפלא שנתעכב כ"כ, ובפרט שגם עתה בא בקיצור נמרץ).
הנה בוודאי מסר הרה"ח אי"א נו"נ עוסק בצ"צ מוהרי"ל שי' הכהן מתוכן מכתבי אליו בחלק השייך לצעירי אגו"ח בכללות, וע"פ מה שכתבתי לו, שאין מהנמוס לענות להנהלת צעירי אגו"ח קודם קבלת מכתבם הם, ולכן מוכרחני לכלול גם את זה בהמענה שלי על מכתב הנ"ל, אף ששייך לכל חברי צעירי אגו"ח. ובמילא מכתבי זה בא בהמשך להנ"ל ובודאי גם המענה שלהם יהי' על הנ"ל ועל מכתבי זה.
מוסג"פ איזה סקריפ בתור חלק והשתתפות בהוצאת הבטאון ובתעמולת י"ט כסלו הבע"ל. ואם תהי' אפשריות בלי קישויים יתרים כדאי הי' לנצל גם ימי חנוכה באופן המתאים. ובפרט ע"פ המבואר בדרושי חנוכה, אשר ההתנגדות היתה על המאור שבתורה, וכדיוק הלשון להשכיחם תורתך ולהעבירם על חקי רצונך, בתוספת כ"ף וחוקים דוקא. ובכלל הרי צריך לחפש הזדמנות לתעמולה.
אם תהי' תועלת לעבודתם בנתינת פרסים מעניני הדפוס דהוצאת קה"ת - כמובן מבלי הוצאות יתירות ובאופן סמלי, יודיעוני שמות הספרים והכמות והאופן שרוצים להשתמש בזה והתועלת שצפוי' בדבר.
לפלא שאין מזכירים דבר ע"ד הסיוע ממשרדים השונים - שמזמן עסקו בזה.
בודאי ידוע להם אודות הארגון חזון ישעי', שכפי הסיפור הוא מעין תפארת בחורים שבמדינתו לפנים, וכדאי שיתבוננו על אפשריות דעבודה כזו גם מצדם, וכפי השמועה מתפתח ארגון הנ"ל בלי הוצאות כספיות כמעט.
בטח יודיעוני הטעמים - הגלוים עכ"פ - שבסיבתם מפריעים לימוד התניא בישיבת... ואם דברו בזה עם... שכמדומה לי הוא הבעל דיעה שם, שהי' ברוסטוב וזכה לראות את כ"ק אדמו"ר (מוהרש"ב) וכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר - זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע. ובמילא קשה להאמין שהוא ינגד לזה.
כדאי הי' להתבונן אם יש תועלת בפרסום עבודתם במכ"ע המתאימים שלכאורה אז יש מקום להזכיר את העסקנים והמסייעים על אתר, שבודאי עי"ז יתוסף בהם חשק ורצון לסייע בידם בפעם הבאה.
בברכת הצלחה בעבודתם בקדש, וביחוד לרגל יום הבהיר י"ט כסלו, אשר בגלל המסירת הנפש הלזו על תורת החסידות פסקו בבי"ד של מעלה, אשר בכל ענין של תורה יראת שמים ומדות טובות תהי' יד מקושריו והולכי בעקבותיו על העליונה (עיין קיצורים והערות לתניא סוף עמוד קכ"ב).

In response to your letter from the 3rd of Kislev with the attached report of your activities in the past Elul and Tishrei (and it is surprising that it was delayed so much, especially since even now it is very brief). Certainly, the chassidic Rav iy"a nu"n involved with tzt"z Mohari"l Hakohen has conveyed to you from my letters to him regarding what pertains to Tzeirei Agudas Chabad in general. As I wrote him, it is not proper etiquette to reply to the Tzeirei Agudas Chabad administration before receiving their own letter; therefore I must include this as part of my response to your above-mentioned letter, even though it pertains to all members of Tzeirei Agudas Chabad. Thus, this letter comes as a continuation of the above and certainly your response will address both that and this letter.
Enclosed is a script as a contribution and participation in publishing the journal and in the campaign for Yud-Tes Kislev, may it come upon us for good. If possible without excessive difficulty, it would be worthwhile to utilize also the days of Chanukah in an appropriate manner.
Especially based on what is explained in the discourses on Chanukah: that the opposition was against the luminary within Torah—as precisely stated "to make them forget Your Torah and cause them to transgress the statutes of Your will," with an added kaf (your) and specifically statutes. In general, one must always seek opportunities for outreach.
If it would benefit your work to give prizes from Kehot publications—of course without extra expenses and only symbolically—let me know which books, how many copies, how you wish to use them, and what benefit you expect from this.
It is surprising that nothing is mentioned about assistance from various offices—which has been pursued for some time. Surely you are aware of the organization Chazon Yesha'ya which reportedly resembles Tiferes Bachurim of former times in his country; it would be worthwhile for you to consider whether such work could be done on your part as well. According to reports, this organization develops with almost no financial outlay.
Please inform me of the reasons—at least those that are public—for interference with Tanya study at the yeshivah... And whether you have discussed this with... who I believe is considered an authority there; he was in Rostov and merited seeing both our Rebbe (the Maharashab) and our previous Rebbe—may their memory be blessed for life in the World-to-Come. Therefore it is hard to believe he would oppose this.
It would be worthwhile to consider whether publicizing your work in suitable newspapers might help; then there would be reason to mention those activists and supporters on site—which would surely increase their enthusiasm and willingness to help next time.
Blessings for success in your holy work—especially on occasion of Yud-Tes Kislev—the bright day when due to self-sacrifice for Chassidus it was decreed Above that in every matter of Torah, fear of Heaven, and good character traits, those connected with him and following his path will prevail (see notes on Tanya at end of page 122).
