לפלא שמזמן כתבו בערב ראש השנה העבר, לא נתקבל ממנו כל מכתבים ובודאי גם בשנה חדשה זו מתעסק במלאכת שמים חינוך על טהרת הקדש בחוגים שונים. וכבר ידוע מרז"ל (ב"מ פ"ה ע"א) אשר (גדול המלמד את בנו תורה) גדול המלמד את בן חבירו תורה וגדול מכולם המלמד את בן עם הארץ תורה - עיי"ש -.
בודאי למותר לעוררו להכנה בעריכת התועדות מתאימה ביום הבהיר י"ט כסלו הוא יום גאולת רבנו הזקן וגאולתנו ופדות נפשנו, כלשון נשיאנו הק', והשתתפות גם בגופו בהתועדות זו ובהמשכת ההתועדות בהחלטות טובות מראש השנה לחסידות זו על כל השנה כולה. וכשפותחים כחודה של מחט פותח הקב"ה כפתחו של אולם...

It is surprising that since you wrote on the eve of last Rosh Hashanah, no letters have been received from you. Surely, even in this new year, you are involved in the holy work of education according to the purity of holiness in various circles.
It is already known from our Sages (Bava Metzia 85a) that "greater is one who teaches his own son Torah," but even greater is one who teaches his friend's son Torah, and greatest of all is one who teaches the son of an am ha'aretz Torah—see there.
Surely it is unnecessary to remind you to prepare for organizing a suitable farbrengen on the bright day of Yud Tes Kislev—the day of liberation of our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe and our own redemption and soul’s liberation, as our holy Nasi expressed it—and also to participate personally in this farbrengen and to continue it with good resolutions from Rosh Hashanah for this Chassidus throughout the entire year.
When one opens even like the eye of a needle, the Holy One Blessed be He opens like the entrance to a grand hall...
