Since all Israel are areivim zeh bazeh (responsible for one another), in addition to its simple meaning—areivim as in responsibility—this responsibility comes through the second meaning of areivim: from the root of pleasantness and sweetness. Through this, each person willingly accepts responsibility for his fellow. Consequently, there is also the third meaning of areivim: from the root of being intertwined with one another—so that together they form a complete stature.
