הנה נכון ואמת הדבר, ובודאי למותר להאריך בדבר הידוע ומפורסם אשר הלחץ והדוחק שם גדול ביותר, ובמילא סובלים מזה עניני תורה ומצות ג"כ ביותר, ובפרט בשדה החינוך על טהרת הקדש, ומאידך גיסא הרי מפני רמת החיים שם שהיא נמוכה, הנה בסכומים קטנים לפי ערך מדינות אחרות יש לפעול גדולות, ואף כי בעזה"י לומדים כבר במוסדות חינוך אהל"י יצחק ליובאוויטש במרוקו אלפים ואלפים תלמידים ותלמידות מבני ובנות ישראל, הרי כל סכום שמתוסף בהקופה מוסיף כמה וכמה מבני ובנות ישראל בכותלי הת"ת והישיבות הנ"ל, ואף שאין מתחשבים בהמצב בהקופה ולווים, הרי מובן שגם הלואות מוגבלות הם וד"ל. ומטובו למסור תודה וברכה לכל אלו שהשתתפו במגבית הנ"ל הן העושים והן המעשים אשר בודאי יקיים השי"ת הבטחתו עשר בשביל שתתעשר ובמילא יוסיפו אומץ בזה להבא כהנה וכהנה.

...Regarding what you write about the fundraising campaign conducted by Haraha"ch iy"a nu"n one who is involved with tzt"z etc. Moreinu HaRav Ben Tzion Shem Tov shadar for the benefit of the Oholei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch educational institutions in Morocco under my leadership. Indeed, this is correct and true, and certainly it is unnecessary to elaborate on what is well known and publicized—that the pressure and hardship there are very great, and as a result, matters of Torah and mitzvos also suffer greatly, especially in the field of education in purity and holiness. On the other hand, because the standard of living there is low, even relatively small sums compared to other countries can accomplish much. And although with G‑d's help already thousands upon thousands of boys and girls from among the Jewish people are studying in the Oholei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch educational institutions in Morocco, every additional sum added to the fund brings many more Jewish boys and girls into these cheders and yeshivos. And even though they do not take into account the situation of the fund and borrow money, it is understood that even loans are limited—and that is clear. Please convey thanks and blessings to all those who participated in this fundraising campaign—both those who acted directly and those who inspired others—for surely Hashem will fulfill His promise: "Tithe so that you may become wealthy," and therefore they should be further strengthened to continue such efforts even more in the future.
