In response to your letter from the eve of Yom Kippur—and you surely received my letter with the blessing for the year—it is well known the saying of our holy Nesi'im: one good deed is better than a thousand sighs. Therefore, you should bring about an actual increase in the study of Nigleh Torah and Chassidus and in beautifying mitzvah observance. If one good deed is so valuable, how much more so are many good deeds. It is understood that in order to revive (refresh) all the above, it is necessary for you to be present from time to time at a Chasidic gathering (farbrengen), and may Hashem grant you success.

P.S. Regarding what you wrote about the meaning of "Bnei Maron," see Rosh Hashanah 18a and Rashi's commentary there. You mention in your letter that you also have a position in Albany; it would be proper for you to connect there with the shochet u'bodek Moreinu HaRav Isser Brikman.
